Facilitation‘The term facilitation is broadly used to describe any activity which makes easy the tasks of others’. Facilitation concerns itself with all the tasks needed to run a productive and impartial meeting. Facilitation serves the needs of any group who are meeting with a common purpose, whether it be making a decision, solving a problem, or simply exchanging ideas and information. It does not lead the group, nor does it try to distract or to entertain.Facilitation is very much an art, rather than an exact science. It uses the skills, instinct and experience of the facilitator to judge the right intervention at the right time. Sometimes the point of breakdown in a meeting can be transformed into a breakthrough, with the right touch. Whether it is a team away day, a group conference, a strategy meeting or team meeting; professional and confident facilitation will add real value to your day. |
